He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches…
(Revelation 2:7,11,17,29; 3:6,13,22)

Praying in Laodicea Jesus repeats the challenge quoted above to each of the seven churches listed in Revelation chapters 2-3. Those who have an ear are those who are among the remnant of believers within the organized Church who do not allow the weaknesses of the organization to hinder their embrace of the truth of Scripture – even when Scripture is contradicted within the organization. Each of these seven churches have their remnant. Jesus says that the Laodicean Church is deceived and plagued with lies. He invites any man who is a part of the Church and hears His voice to open the door and sup with Him and He will sup with them. That fellowship becomes an active process of replacing the lies that plague Laodicea with the truth of Scripture. That fellowship is, indeed, praying in Laodicea! Praying in Laodicea is designed to give the Biblical basis for praying in Laodicea as well as specific guidelines for replacing Laodicea’s lies with Scriptural truth. We’ll add these as future posts. |
